BIOGRAPHY

Chiara Flora Bassignana is a research fellow at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, within the Agroecology research group, where since 2025 she works on the European project ALL-Facts – Agroecology Living Labs for Accelerating Transition.

From 2022 to 2025 she worked in the European project HORIZON 2020 RADIANT – Realizing Dynamic Value Chains for Underutilised Crops, where she investigated the role of underutilised crops in agroecological transition and the provision of ecosystem services.

Her research interests revolve around agroecology, biocultural diversity, gender and intersectionality in food systems, and the commons.

She holds a PhD in Eco-gastronomy, Education and Society from the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, with interdisciplinary research on agroecological transitions and emerging food practices in the Western Italian Alps.
