
Eight students will be discussing their degree thesis on Wednesday April 20. Three of them, from Italy and Germany, are concluding the three-year undergraduate program, while the other five, all Italians, are coming to the end of the two-year graduate program. Below, their names and thesis titles:
Three-Year Undergraduate Degree
Riccardo Maria Mazzoni, 22, from Rome, will be discussing the thesis “Analisi del consumo di alcool tra le nuove generazioni. Una visione olistica e sociologica tra le abitudini e gli eccessi nel consumo di bevande alcoliche tra i giovani” (“Analysis of alcohol consumption among new generations: A holistic and sociological view of habits and excess in the consumption of alcoholic beverages among young people”), supervised by Professor Paolo Corvo.
Konstantin Steinmeyer, 28, from Hamburg, Germany, will be discussing the thesis “Le nuove applicazioni di mercato di un prodotto agroalimentare tradizionale utilizzando l’esempio di Perilla frutescens” (“New market applications for a traditional food product, using the example of Perilla frutescens”), supervised by Professor Franco Fassio.
Alieksei Taran, 24, from Castiglione Torinese, Piedmont, will be discussing the thesis “La coltivazione dei funghi nell’ambito della “Bioremediation”, applicazione delle tecniche di bio-conversione, bio-degradazione e bio-accumulazione” (“Mushroom cultivation in the context of ‘Bioremediation’: application of bio-conversion, bio-degradation and bio-acculumation techniques”), supervised by Professor Paola Migliorini.

Two-Year Graduate Degree
Lucia Cariaggi, 26, from Fermignano, Marche, will be discussing the thesis “La Grappa Piemontese. Una proposta per la tutela e il rilancio di un prodotto di qualità” (“Piedmontese Grappa: A proposal for the protection and revival of a quality product”), supervised by Professor Carmine Garzia.
Stefania Davit, 25, from Rivalba, Piedmont, will be discussing the thesis “Il caffè: le attuali condizioni di mercato e la voce dei protagonisti per lo sviluppo futuro” (“Coffee: Current market conditions and the voice of protagonists for future development”) supervised by Professor Valter Cantino.
Dario Fadda, 29, from Villarbasse, Piedmont, will be discussing the thesis “L’immagine del territorio. Analisi semiotica delle strategie della comunicazione turistica” (“The image of the territory: Semiotic analysis of tourism communication strategies”), supervised by Professor Dario Mangano.
Giovanni Raffaghello, 27, from Novi Ligure, Piedmont, will be discussing the thesis “Food Waste,” supervised by Professor Paolo Corvo.
Diletta Scaglione, 28, from Palermo, Sicily, will be discussing the thesis “Nuovi trend di consumo per il vino italiano negli Usa” (“New consumption for Italian wine in the United States”), supervised by Professor Simone Cinotto.
