Dear UNISG Alumni,
as you might already know, our international network, together with the global Terra Madre movement, is getting ready for the next edition of “Terra Madre and Salone del Gusto”, Turin 2016.
The event will be particularly “fresh” this year : as the Salone will be celebrating its 20th anniversary we want to open up to our producers and co-producers and bring them outside of Lingotto Centre, into the streets of Turin! It will be an innovative occasion, going beyond a simple change of location: our food communities, with their culture and their produce, are going to be the life-blood of the streets and parks of Turin.
And the heart of this incredible event must be there: our network, our co-producers and, above all you.
Those of you who left Pollenzo or Colorno to reach the four corners of the world bringing your knowledge and expertise with you, have the opportunity to reunite back in Turin. Your food communities, your former classmates and the Slow Food Youth Network will all be there ready to enjoy the event with you!
An historic, and yet new event is coming up. An occasion to be part of a peaceful, but enthusiastic crowd, catalysers of a virtuous process that really can change the world.
So come back to Turin, and spread the word among your friends and classmates: we want to gather as many Alumni as possible so that this occasion can turn into a true and constructive exchange of views for all of us. We want this to be the biggest UNISG Alumni reunion yet!
So save the date: 22nd – 26th September. In the next few weeks and months you’ll receive more news on the program and on logistical options, but for the meantime, we hope you are starting the countdown to your return here!
See you soon
Carlo Petrini
