This year at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto you’ll be able to meet a diverse sampling of UNISG-graduate gastronomes for the first time.
A total of 25 former students from the university, from all over the world, will be the stars of the event “Who Is the Gastronome?” on Sunday September 25 at 2pm at Torino Esposizioni.
Cultural interpreters and bridges between communities, gastronomes create connections and value in the food world. They can take on different roles and move through varied and multidisciplinary professional contexts.
In “Who Is the Gastronome?” these young chefs, entrepreneurs, researchers, managers, journalists, product buyers and more will tell you exactly what they do with and through food, what their vision is and about the current and future projects they are working on, all in just three minutes each, demonstrating impressive immediacy and narrative skill.
They include restaurant manager Matylda Grzelak from Poland; Israeli chef Nadav Malin; a university researcher from Denmark, Johan Kristensen Dal; Yada Sringernyuang from Thailand, an editor in a publishing company; Latvian coffee expert and taster Anete Dinne; Italo-Australian entrepreneur Alice Noel Fabi; and Luca Parigi, a marketing manager from Italy.
Through their words, these UNISG graduates will demonstrate their way of understanding gastronomy, showing you how they interpret it as a profession, a vocation and a way of life.
