Description
The aim of SAMBA2 is to support these activities over time and enhance their effectiveness and impact. The activities proposed in what is known as S.A.M.B.A. 2 are therefore based on the same premises as those indicated in the S.A.M.B.A.-1 project:
- the spread of student distress, which is particularly evident in the early stages of academic life;
- the peculiarity of the population in terms of life stage and specific learning experience, attributable to a particular historical moment that has accentuated risk factors and seen an increase in recent years in psychological and psychopathological distress, as well as alcohol and substance consumption and “new addictions”;
- the need to adopt a perspective, consistent with the recommendations of the OMS and the main agencies that oversee issues of health and psychological and physical well-being, of primary prevention (in addition to the secondary prevention already mentioned in points a) and b) and tertiary prevention where behaviours and damage to health are evident) and health promotion in a population that, sometimes unknowingly, has extraordinary resources;
- the opportunity represented by the academic context (universities and Afam), communities which, according to the salutogenic perspective of healthy universities, have the task of creating a “learning environment and organisational culture that promotes health, wellbeing and sustainability through the implementation, testing and transfer of innovative approaches”.
Unisg will organise Food and Wellbeing Workshops based on active and experiential learning. These activities are based on the One Health model and the culinary experience as a tool for inclusion and empowerment. Gastronomes and psychologists promote the development of conscious pleasure, food education, and social and environmental sustainability.
